Hi.

I blog about what it's like to be a cool mama living in an urban area. Hope you have a nice stay!

It's Official!! I have some MommyCon News.

It's Official!! I have some MommyCon News.

I'm honored and excited to be working with Xza and her MommyCon crew this year. I met Xza back in 2014 at my first MommyCon. I was overjoyed to meet and learn from so many like-minded mamas. I learned so much about cloth diapering, infant and toddler feeding, baby wearing and extended breastfeeding. It was like I had found my mama village. I've since been to 3 more MommyCons (I was ambitious and traveled to 2 MommyCon's in 2015) and talk about how great the conference is EVERY CHANCE I GET (go ahead: check my archives - you'll wanna go too).

A few months ago, I applied to be a speaker at MommyCon Chicago 2017. I really wanted to create a space for us mom's to talk about loss. Over the last few years I've been working through my own experiences of loss and grief. I recognized a gap in how we deal with pregnancy and baby loss, how we often ignore our feelings in order to be good mothers and wives and how we suffer in silence when we do allow ourselves to experience our pain. We often don't have safe spaces or outlets to discuss and work through our feelings. After presenting my session concept: I was accepted as a speaker in 2017 AND asked to present in 6 other cities!

That's not all!!!

I was also asked to run the Cloth Diaper Resource Center this year. If you know me, you know I'm VERY passionate about cloth diapers (read: CLOTH EVERYTHING). I hope to help a lot of mamas find a cloth system that works for them... and just offer a lot of encouragement.

This is an incredible opportunity for me to talk about two things that are near and dear to my heart. If I'm nothing more than a motivator or listening ear for one mama this year - I'm winning. I just can't wait to talk to ALL THE MAMAS! I'm READY!!

If you're at MommyCon this year, please come see me.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
