Hi.

I blog about what it's like to be a cool mama living in an urban area. Hope you have a nice stay!

Cloth Wipe Solution

Cloth Wipe Solution

I LOVE cloth wipes. I use a mixture of flannel, cotton and terry cloth/velour wipes in my wipe warmer. My favorite are the organic cotton terry cloth/velour wipes. They are like wash cloths and they pick up the scariest of blowouts - often with one cloth. Wipes can get really expensive and go really fast, so I usually only use them in my diaper bag. Below is my anti-bacterial (because of the tea tree oil) cloth wipe solution.

  • 2 cups of HOT water,
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil,
  • 2 tablespoons of Dr Bronners baby mild soap and
  • 4 drops of tea tree oil

I mix it all in a bowl and drop my wipes in. I lightly squeeze them out, overlaying them one at a time because I like my wipes to "pop up" like regular wipes. I put them in my diaper warmer and replenish them every other day. I make about 25 wipes every other day.
